Naked Chefs? Now a naked restaurant!

Concentrating on trying new cuisines and enjoying their food more is the aspiration to customers head chef Jono Hope is hoping to achieve.  Apparently Bunyadi already has a huge waiting list of 40,000 and opens today in London’s Elephant and Castle.  Guests get a locker to put their clothes in and a robe.  Use of phones is not allowed. The candle lit tables with bamboo screens can hide your blushes if you wish to disrobe but you can also eat with your robes on.

The food is served on clay plates with edible cutlery…vegan or non vegan and mostly raw and naked as the diners…highlights of the menu include gogi berry and coriander steak tartare and courgette flowers stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes served on cauliflower rice.  Hot food and chili dishes are avoided “for obvious reasons”!?

The theory is that people will actually enjoy their food more naked and taking their phones off them means they will get back to good old fashioned conversation.

If you go, don’t forget the fake tan and the bath or shower beforehand – you want to be seen – and smelled at your best.  Bon appetit!
