New York features the costliest hotel stay in the world, and London the costliest in Europe.
New York is the world’s costliest place to hire a hotel room at £157 with Washington the second at £139 and Rio de Janeiro the third at £128.
London Hotels have become the most expensive in Europe and fourth costliest in the world, after toppling Zurich, Sydney, Paris, New York,
Stockholm and Oslo , as the rates went up by 16 per cent last year.
An average night’s stay in London hotels is £126, while the cost in Zurich is only £110 with Paris not very far behind with £106.
The price survey carried out by HRS reservation service and according to Trip Advisor features the story that an average cost of an evening out
and stay in a four star hotel is £311.80.
