According to a report by New World Wealth, New York with USD 3 trillion followed by London ranked second in the list with USD 2.7 trillion, Tokyo USD 2.5 trillion, San Francisco Bay area USD 2.3 trillion, Beijing USD 2.2 trillion, Shanghai USD 1 trillion, Los Angeles US 1.4 trillion, Hong Kong USD 1.3 Trillion, Sydney USD 1 Trillion, Singapore USD 1 trillion, Chicago USD 988 billion.
New York is a meca for billionaires, with more than any other city in the world. So if you ever wanted to look through the keyhole into the homes of some of Manhattan’s most notable billionaires, including former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and News Corps’ Rupert Murdoch, look no further.
Among the 15 cities listed San Francisco, Beijing , Shanghai, Mumbai and Sydney were the fastest growing in terms of wealth growth over the past 10 years, the report said.
Some notable cities missed out on top 15 included Houston, Geneva, Osaka, Seoul, Shenzhen, Melbourne, Zurich and Dallas it added.
