Nigerian Doctor who led Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine study
Dr. Onyema Ogbuagu, the Nigerian doctor who led Pfizer’s study for the Coronavirus vaccine in the United States, is also director of HIV Clinical Trials program at the Yale AIDS program, Infectious Diseases Swction, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, New York. Ogbiagu is part of a team of researchers at Pfizer which announced in conjunction with BioNTech that a vaccine against COVID-19 has been developed with 85 per cent effectiveness. The vaccine was tested on 43, 500 people in six countries in compliance with all safety regulations.
