Paper Planes : movie
An imaginative 3D children’s film directed by Robert Connolly which he co-wrote with Steve Worland, about a young Australian lad’s passion for flight and his challenge to compete in World Paper plane tournament. The film stars Sam Worthington, David Denham. Julian Dennison and Ed Oxenbould.
Bully victim, eleven-year-old Dylan (Oxenbould) was having a hard time from a school bully and hostility from his father who was still grieving over the death of his mother in an automobile accident, when a regional paper plane tournament is announced at his primary school. Dylan soon discovers his natural talent for creating the ultimate paper plane. His adventures. takes him all the way to Japan for the Paper plane world championships. Dylan meets the junior Japanese champion, Kimi, and develop a close relationship challenging each other and goes on to build the most beautiful and best paper plane ever made. Inspired by his ex-fighter grandfather and a kite hawk he feeds on his way to school, Dylan remembers that if at you don’t succeed, fly, fly again. The film already released in Australia is box office hit grossing $9.61m. The story based on an episode Australian story called “fly by me“, the highest grossing Australian children’s film in history.
