Porsche’s Project Gold 911 Turbo sells for £ 2.65m ($3.4m) in auction

Porsche’s Project Gold 911 Turbo car was sold for £2.65m ($3.4m) at an auction over the weekend. The 3.6 litre twin-turbo flat six engine car  with all wheel drive, over 400hp and can reach 0-100kmph in under four seconds, based on an original 993 body shell, has been build 20 years after the end of series production. The proceeds of special 993 went to charity.

Project Gold was auctioned by RM Sotheby’s at Prosche’s 70th Anniversary sale in Atlanta where over 50 cars went under the hammer.
