Public toilet made from recycled paper
Dia Mehta Bhupal created a paper-mache public toilet with photo-prints at the Aspinwall House in Fort Kochi.
The creation from recycled paper, and photo prints of her other paper-mache structures are life-like installation by artist Dia Metha Bhupal. Her other creations includes the waiting room of a clinic, a bookstore, inside of a airplane, are part of her display a 12 venues, organised by the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB).
Bhupal, a photojournalist and fashion photographer from Hyderabad, spends hours construction habitats using paper cut-outs from magazines and rolls up to form layers like Lego building blocks for her presentation and after photographing them she dismantles these elaborate sets.
She has in the past created 3, 500 wall tiles from recycled paper.
