Quick thinking flight attendant breastfed a passenger’s baby
A 24-year-old Philippine Airlines flight attendant breastfed a passenger’s baby mid-flight after the baby’s mum ran out of formula milk. She approached the crying passenger after she heard an infant’s cry and saw the mother crying. She said ” The tiny fragile baby was breastfed until she fell asleep.
What the Philippine Airlines flight attendant Patrisha Organo, did was beyond the line of duty during a Tuesday flight. Organo, was on the flight as the final check to be qualified as a Cabin Crew Evaluator.
“She said “ You know the difference between a cry of hunger or a cry of sleepiness or a cry of something else. As there’s no formula milk onboard. I thought to myself, there’s only one thing I could offer and that’s my own milk. In my early days of breastfeeding journey, I did wanted to give up – but I am glad with a strong support from my husband I kept going”.
According to her Facebook post, which has over 122k reactions, the mother started to tear up and told Organo that she had run out of formula milk and was unable to feed her child. Thousands of positive responses in Facebook with many calling her “sweet” and “an angel”.
