Sanjay Patel’s Super Team the short from Pixar which tells a personal story and touches on generation gap and their experiences as well as the immigrant experiences. His father morning prayers which interfered his computer games, as his parents whole world revolved around their gods, “The Hindu deities “. Patel 41 who joined Pixar in 1996 as an animator on a “Bug’s Life” and has worked on several films including “Toy Story 3” , “Monsters, INC” and “The Incredibles”, our worlds are diametrically apart. I just wanted my name to be Travis, not Sanjay.”
Sanjay uses his own life story to tell how a young first generation American-Indian boy whose love for the western pop culture comes into conflict with his father’s prayers and belief in Hindu gods/Sanjay is absorbed in the world of cartoons and comics, while his father force him to the traditions of his Hindu practice. Reluctance quickly turn into an awe inspiring adventure as the boy embarks on a journey he never could have imagined. Returning with a new prospective of the world, so that they can both embrace.
