SCORES OF PEOPLE KILLED IN PARIS TERRORIST INCIDENTS
There may have been 100 hostages killed in the Bataclan Concert Hall in Paris tonight and reports are that police have killed some of the attackers. Early this evening there were two explosions near the Stade de France football stadium where France and Germany were playing a match. President Hollande has now called for military reinforcements and has declared a state of emergency across the nation. At least one bomb has gone off in one of seven locations where the terrorist incidents were apparently co-ordinated. Hollande remarked the attacks were “unprecedented” and borders would be closed to prevent the attackers fleeing. The attacks were on what is termed “soft targets” such as restaurants like the Belle Equipe restaurant and other venues which the public frequent for social occasions such as for meals, sport or similar. There have been dozens of casualties in addition to the fatalities.
President of the US Barack Obama has already commented that the values of the French being Liberte Egalite and Fraternity are not only the values of the French people and is supporting an enquiry into this incident of multiple attacks, described as a “very well co-ordinated pre-planned attack” by a BBC commentator. There are several gunmen still on the loose and security in Paris in the next few days will be absolutely huge.
