Simon Barnes who played Tinky Winky died of hypothermia

Simon Shelton  Barnes, 52- year-old and father-of-three, trained as a ballet dancer and choreographer before taking on the role of much loved Tinky Winky in the famous Children’s BBC TV show Teletubbies died last week with neighbors claiming he had collapsed in Liverpool street and died of hypothermia. He was found dead at 7:30 am the following morning Merseyside police confirmed.

Simon from Ampthill in Bedfordshire, passed away just four days after his birthday is the uncle of Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack. The Teletubbies was watched by over one billion children in 120 countries during its four years on television.
