England established an early lead through George Kruis’ converted try, but Scotland scored by the boot of Greig Laidlaw to make it 7-6 at half-time.
England dominated and had their first try of Jones when Kruis flashed thorugh sloppy Scottish tackle to crash over from four meters out. Laidlaw landed fine penalty, as both sides attacked from deep. Laidlaw missed from out wide but scored from 20m out to make it 7-6.
John Nowell completed a good try as Owen Farrell kicked a penalty to the corner and landed his second penalty and closed the game.
Scotland who have not won the Calcutta Cup since 2008, were very disappointed.
