Six point lead in statistics for next Mayor in London

Mr Sadiq Khan and Mr Zac Goldsmith have just made opposing votes on air strikes in Syria – Khan against therefore Goldsmith for.  However in a poll run by YouGov, Khan has been found to be standing in a six point better position than Goldsmith.  It seems Khan is more popular with the younger voters at present.  These figures follow a campaign recently run by Mr Khan highlighting such issues as unfair transport costs for Londoners. Both Goldsmith and Khan oppose on a third runway at Heathrow and Goldsmith has said he will resign from his Richmond Park seat if David Cameron gives backing to expansion of Heathrow.  However this would give him more time to concentrate on his fight to become the next Mayor.  Therefore Khan needs to be looking around for other issues to lure the electorate for his own fight to be the next Mayor of London.
