Solar Impuse 2 World record for longest and furthest non-stop solo flight
Andre Borschberg, pilot of the Solar Impulse 2, in his unheated unpressurised 134 cubic feet cock pit, solar-powered plane has broken the world record for the longest and furthest non-stop solo flight in history.
He landed in Kalaeloa Hawaii at 5.55am local time after flying non-stop for 5 days. This marks the final and longest stretch of 3,519 miles (5,663 Kilometers) in 80 hours. “Can you imagine a solar powered plane without fuel can now fly longer than a jet plane.
