South Africa take 1-0 lead in the Test series, The South African skipper, Quinton de Kock, starts off by saying that he is feeling good.
Dimuth karunarahne, the Sri Lankan captain said they were in the driving seat as they scored nearly 400 and they did well as a batting unit. Credit his batters for their approach, but they lost their main bowler despite that they did well on the first day but they have a couple of youngsters, who can come and do the job for him in the second test. They also need to keep the momentum and a positive mindset and that the bowlers have done a good job for them, whenever the team has required them to. It was a difficult task for the Sri Lankans to get back into the game as in the second innings they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Only Perera at the top and Hasaranga lower down the order showed some fight. It was a very one-sided game.
The Player of the match is Faf du Plessis who said, It was a good win and that they bowled alright and showed good character as a batting unit and it is always good to contribute to the team.
