SpiceJet passengers in shock after 30 minutes mid-air scare
Passengers of SpiceJet flight SG152, was hit by high turbulence on Saturday, 15minutes after takeoff from Mumbai- Guwahati via Delhi and was grounded back to Mumbai. The Airbus 319 aircraft took off with 141 passengers including two infants and seven crew members at 7:50am from Mumbai and hit the turbulence and affected its hydraulic system was declared full emergency. After a 30-minute ordeal the flight made a safe landing at Mumbai’s Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
The crew asked the befuddled passengers to put on their life jackets, which sparked a panic among most passengers. Some passengers wished they had paid more attention to the emergency procedures before the flight commenced.
According to a spokesperson of SpiceJet “ The aircraft made a safe landing after following all emergency procedures. All passengers were given alternative flight options.”
