Storm kills six in Rio
Six people have been found dead so far in a fierce storm in Morro da Babilonia, a favela in Leme in Rio, Brazil.
Two lived in Leme and third man fell off a motorcycle and was dragged under a parked car in Gavea., aw the man was unable to get out from under the vehicle and drowned. Two other adults and a minor were buried in car mudslide.
Streets in the Zona Sul (southern zone) were most effected with several victims waiting for over four hours to be rescued from cars and school vans.
The storm also claimed Tim Mala a cycle path on Niemeyer Avenue which eventually collapsed around 10 pm. This is the fourth time a section of the cycle path has collapsed since it opened in January 2016.
