The Address Hotel next to Dubai Mall is engulfed in flames.

A fire has broken out in the Address hotel with over 56 floors, of which at least 20 floors engulfed in flame in Dubai at 5:00pm GMT . The Dubai Mall has also been evacuated. No injuries reported yet.  The Address hotel is near Burj Khalifa hotel and the planned New Years’s eve fireworks display in Dubai. 

The Dubai government tweeted that 14 people had suffered minor injuries, one had medium injury and one had a heart attack due to overcrowding and smoke at the fire site. The fire started on the 20th floor and soon spread, as huge plume of black smoke and derbis falling from 300m tall (1000ft) building, between the world’s largest skyscraper Khalifa Tower and the Address Downtown Hotel.
