The Brits Awards 2018: Due Lipa and Stromzy wins the Best female and male artist
The 22-year-old Dua Lipa, won the best British Female solo artist and 24-year-old Stormzy won the Best British male artist, beat much more experienced competitors to the top prizes at the ceremony at London’s O2 Arena. The Kosovar Albanian pop singer Lipa, who slogged her way to the top of the charts, emigrating to London as a teenager, also won the British breakthrough artist.
The Singer-songwriter Rag’n’Bone Man won his third Brit award for his anthem Human which won the best British single. Kendrick Lamar was voted the best international male, for his blockbuster album Damn.
Although Ed Sheeran won the global success award, the night have been a disappointment for him, despite releasing the biggest-selling album in the UK last year missed out on wins in the biggest categories.
