The new Cartier Watch

The new Clé de Cartier, the creation that the Maison just presented at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie of Geneva,distinctive elements: a curved profile that fits snugly to the wrist, a gently rounded bezel, tapered horns and a jewel-like key-like crown which gives the name to the model (clé in French means key). The new crown, adorned with a blue sapphire, the act of adjusting the time and date recalls the turning of a key to wind up a clock. The watch is powered by the 1847 MC automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve that was developed, fabricated and assembled in-house with efficiency in mind.  A specially conceived lever system, the dual direction winding mechanism ensures prolonged robustness and durability. A specially developed barrel contributes to the chronometric stability of the movement.

The Clé de Cartier collection includes models for men and for women. The 40 mm case of the model for men is available in pink gold or white gold matched to an alligator leather strap or a bracelet.
