Top Gun star Tom Cruise (61) with his smile and his trademark aviator sunglasses was spotted at RAF Fairford to watch the air show displays at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) on Saturday.
Paul Atherton, CEO of the RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises said: ”Tom’s visit is something we have been trying really hard to keep under wraps, but keeping secrets like that is had when they are so exciting”.
Tom Cruise after posting a video at the airfield said, “ First in. It’s going to be a glorious day. The runway is just literally there, boom.”
Aircraft displayed at the show included the US Air Force’s Bell Boeing CV-22B Osprey from the 7th Special Operations Squadron in honour of the special United States Air Force’s 75th anniversary, which attracted 170, 000 visitors over the weekend to see and hear several hundred aircraft of different shapes and sizes spanning the eras and from countries all over the world.
Tom Cruise, who starred as Navy pilot Pete “Maverik” Mitchell in the 1986 blockbuster film Top Gun and its sequel Maverick, which is currently in cinemas has been a licenced pilot since 1994.
