Tower poppies sell out to make big profit
Blood swept lands and seas of red was created by artist Paul Cummins to commemorate the centenary of the start of the war in 1914. Every poppy represented a Commonwealth or British serviceman killed totalling 888,246. One hundred of the ceramic poppies have sold for £150 each within four hours of going on sale.
Armed Forces Day is on June 25 and has already raised £15,000 for its Coming Home campaign for disabled and wounded veterans. If you want to make a donation look up coming-home.org.uk.
