Tram overturns in Croydon 7dead abnd 50 injured
Five people trapped and 40 people have been injured after a tram overturned in South London at Croydon just after 6.00 GMT.
Transport for London said the derailed tram with two carriages overturned with a big bang.
The 42-year-old driver of the tram from Beckenham, that crashed in Croydon, killing seven people and injuring over fifty is being questioning on suspicion of manslaughter
According to the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) the tram which had been travelling from New Addington to Wimbledon, via Croydon, derailed as it was negotiating a sharp left-hand curve which has a speed limit of 12mph.
