US secures world stock of key Covid-19 drug Remdesivir.

Remdesivir patented by California based Gilead is one of the two drugs proven to work against Covid-19. The US has secured world stock of remedesivir which can help recovery from Covid-19 as no other country will be able to buy remdesivir for the next three months.

Dozens of countries will be exempt from a travel quarantine from Monday, UK government sources have indicated, as currently most people arriving into the UK from anywhere apart from the Republic of Ireland have to self-isolate for two weeks.

It is possible that up to 75 countries deemed low or very low risk will be exempt from the UK’s quarantine from Monday 6 July.

The US will be categorised as high-risk red.
