Victoria Wood dies unexpectedly after short illness, aged 62
2016 is so far a year where iconic stars of stage and screen have been “bowing out” and leaving loving fans bereft and moody. It would not be so sad for us mortals but some of the stars have been undeniably youthful when they have made their exit. A daily newspaper is finding problems making the space on their pages to cover one after the next obituary on this or that well-loved celebrity. Let us hope that this does not gloomily continue for the rest of 2016. Life is for living – there is a quote “Live each day as if it was your last and one day you will be right”. There is a latin saying Carpe Diem – seize the day. While we have time to mourn and moan, the famous people who have passed are given lots of coverage in media outlets worldwide. Locally little bits of goss get through that little known individuals to most of us have also bowed out. They are no less valuable just because they are not famous and elaborate funerals and mourning parties are taking place for these people well loved by those who knew them too. Carpe Diem does seem a good idea so watch how you go beloved Saturn Herald Readers.
Peace.
