Postmen were apparently doped by munching on cannabis-laced brownies they had been unable to deliver, on their rounds in Clapham, south London, prompted a Royal Mail bosses to order an investigation.
Innocent workers said to have mistaken the edibles in a “Pablo-Chocobar” box for innocent treats, were filmed walking unsteadily and needing help on their rounds in Clapham.
A social media user wrote “ I had to pick the up one by one cause they were so high. One guy said he was waking to a door and thought he was waking forever.
The film footage shared online revealed on dazed postman sitting in a sorting office and just about managing to relay that he had eaten four of the brownies, while a fellow employee was justifying that they had been sent to an empty property, with no return address and confirmed the parcel remained in the sorting office for a month before being shared among staff.
Royal Mail said: “ We have launched an investigation which will determine whether any further action, including disciplinary action, might be taken. We take the matter very seriously. Royal Mail expects the highest standards of behaviour from our people at all times”.
