Wimbledon Tennis grounds evacuated after a fire alarm
Wimbledon Tennis grounds have been evacuated after a fire alarm, as security staff supervised a swift evacuation of Centre Court and then the entire ground after the close of play on 1st July 2015.
Several fire engines attended the scene but there was no indication of either smoke or fire.
The cause of the evacuation was not immediately apparent amid suggestions that it may be caused by an electrical fault, according to a Wimbledon spokesman. After the Centre Court evacuation, an announcement followed ordering anyone on the tea lawn between gates four and five to evacuate immediately.
