YouTube launches kids App
YouTube, the largest video-sharing service, is launching a new kid-friendly app called “YouTube Kids” on Monday February 23.Google-owned company is launching a unique app focused on children, You Tube Kids for Android and iOS, so they can use YouTube more safely.
YouTube for kids, built from the ground up especially for little ones, as this will make it safer and easier for children to find videos on topics they want to explore, and is available for free on Google Play and the App Store in the U.S.
Families worldwide are watching millions of videos on YouTube and most parents would love to give a helping hand for their kids to learn more about something they’re interested in. This Standalone app is free and ad-supported, offering a mixture of TV shows, educational videos and music. YouTube Kids classifies videos into four categories Music, Shows, learning and explore. Shows focuses on videos from familiar children’s TV brands like Thomas the Tank Engine, Sesame Street; Music includes videos from nursery-rhyme channels like Mother Goose Club; and Learning gathers educational videos and Explore, will include videos from other children’s channels on YouTube, from Minecraft gamers like Stampy to cooking.
One Direction, Rihanna and Justin Bieber, all stars have big fanbases on YouTube.
The launch of YouTube Kids is likely to spark more new channels aimed at children.
