YouTube down for users worldwide for over an hour

Youtube users worldwide reported on Thursday morning that the  video-sharing platform was down for more than an hour,

YouTube had a major outage on Wednesday and was having issues loading videos for an hour, The issue appeared to affect other services that use the YouTube infrastructure too, including YouTube TV and the movies and TV shows you’d purchase through Google TV (formerly) known as Google Play Movies &TV.

DownDirector showed a truly tremendous number of users reports of problems with YouTube, indicating the problem was widespread, which peaked with more than 280, 000 user reports in less than an hour.

Several users said they were having trouble watching their Youtube videos as they were blocked with an error message ” We’re so sorry for the interruption. This is fixed across all devices and  Youtube services”  Youtube Tweet at 7:43 am.

YouTube created by three former PayPal employees-Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim in February 2005 is currently owned by Google.
