Toby Mott
Toby Mott wows and seduces with his “Tongue in Cheek” Art statements. “I Love Summer”.
The gallery is at 198 Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill Gate, London W11 1NR. Tobyshop.com, @culturaltraffic and hello@culturaltraffic.com. The exhibition runs from 30 June – 4 July 2021. Many eateries and drinkeries beckon for after your visit.
Toby studied art including at the Central School of Art in London to a high level and then developed a style of combining a “debased, trash-punk aesthetic with the status symbols of the high end fine arts”. Mott likes to use gold and silver in his art, and even uses safety pins and other objects embedded in his works.
“Everything is on a first come first served basis. Simply attend the exhibition, pay what you can for a work of your choice and take it away with you.” All that Toby requests is that you post a photo of the received work in situ adding the hashtags #EmptyTheArchive#Toby Mott. He sees it as “Better on your wall than in any storage unit.”
Open daily and by appointment 12 – 5pm. Seek out Toby’s humorous and lyrical treatment of the world he lives in and ENJOY.
