Writer Elizabeth Flynn’s taste for Murder
When Elizabeth Flynn found life as an actress didn’t quite float her boat she moved into a career as a mortuary assistant. Through a friend she found this job paid the bills and gave her leeway to re-write her first novel and to write some more. They all have a theme of murder with Angela Costello playing the detective who investigates them. Flynn claims she can write absolutely anywhere and Game Set and Murder, Dead Gorgeous and End of the Roadie are the result with a fourth novel on the way.
She observes there was a big explosion of women writers after World War I and on the subject of the novels, there are no mortuaries in any of them “yet”! Elizabeth went directly to a publisher and she is still with Lion Hudson and has a website and a facebook presence. Her detective Angela works for the homicide detective unit and does one case at a time. Publishers are very keen to have a new novel to follow a popular one which is published so they can get their readers “hooked” on a good writer.
Flynn is a member of The Society of Authors and recommends The Writers’ Forum for those who can’t stop themselves penning novels. Look out for Elizabeth Flynn’s books and see how they grab you.
