A lavish week-long wedding of Sanjay – son of British based Indian billionaire Gopuchand Hinduja who is worth £12bn and whose businesses include finance, defence, oil and It sectors and Anusuya Mahtani, a fashion designer, was attended by 16,000 guests “ferried” in 208 private jets.

The extravagant celebrations began in Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace hotel and the wedding took place in The Jagmandir Island Palace hotel in Udaipur, where sumptuous cuisines from 16 countries were served.

President of Iceland, and Bollywood stars, Madhuri Dixit, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Dino Morea, Sophie Choudry, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff also attended. Jennifer Lopez and Singer/dancer of the group Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger were amongst the special guests at the wedding. Nicole Scherzinger sang at the wedding with the reported attendance fee of £650,000.
