India won by 1 run

Bangladesh have fallen by 1 run in the thriller, where in the last over Hardik Pandya took two wickets in the final over plus a run out by Dhoni. Ravichandra Ashwin is the man of the match. Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field. India’s run rate, of 7.3 is the poorest in five T20I games against Bangladesh.  Also poor start from Nehra to Tamin Iqubal who scored the first ball leg-side delivery to boundary and in the same over he dropped Tamim Iqbal. In the fourth over Bumrah dropped  Tamim off Ashwin delivery. In the sixth over Tamim scored  16 runs via 4 fours.

After 39.3 overs, Bangladesh seemed to cruising to have a first ever T20I upset victory against India. Two runs needed of three balls in the final over, with Mushifqur Rahim on strike. The game should have been finished  as at this point India were staring at an early exit in the World Twenty20.  However, the match is not finished neither won or lost till the last ball is thrown. India fought their way back into the game, with Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah both on form and being caught in the leg-side boundary off full tosses from Hardik Pandya, who until this over was out of form. Suddenly Bangladesh was feeling nervous and as Pandya ran in for the final delivery, and bowled outside Shuvgota Hom’s reach, Dhoni pulled off an shocking stumping. This was India’s second one-run win in T20Is and Bangladesh’s first such loss. India’s limited-overs captain  waited for the exact moment for Sabbir to lift his back foot a few inches, which was initially planted inside the crease as only Dhoni knew how long to wait to do the stumping.
