A British Medal First – The Hammer contest garners Bronze for GB!

GB’s Sophie Hitchen twirled like no other and as an ex ballet dancer she knew how to spin around to give the best possible travelling speed and ultimate location to land The Hammer in the women’s finals.  In the process despite very competitive twirls and throws from competitors including Poland, she landed her hammer so well she got an unexpected bronze medal to proudly add to the GB collection and thanks her coach in particular for her thrilling part in Rio Olympics.
