England won by 40 runs ( D/L method)
England need 278 runs to knock Australia out of the Champions Trophy after Mark Wood’s pace and Adil Rashid’s leg breaks restricted them. Sent in by England Australia went on to make 239 for 2 in 43 overs, until Rashid claimed 3 wickets in his final two overs and Wood was responsible for the loss of five Australian wickets for 15 runs. However, Travis Head who played well enough ran out of partners. Glenn Maxwell fell victim to an excellent catch by Jason Roy.
England have already qualified, but the Australians must win the match or get knocked out of the tournament, even if the match was a washout and Bangladesh progress to semi-final on account of their one win.
