England won by  3 wickets with 6 balls remaining (D/L method) and win the 5 match ODI series 3-2

England won the toss and elected to field.

Yorkshireman, Jonny Bairstow joined the England squad on Friday evening as the late replacement for injured Jos Butler, scored an unbelievable unbeaten 83 off 60, with 11 fours steered  England past a rain affected target of 192 to win the thrilling match at Chester-le-Street, and win the series 3-2 against New Zealand. He recovered from 45-5 to reach the target with 6 balls to spare. Needing 7.38 an over, met with New Zealand surprise left-arm spinner  Mitchell J Santner who accounted for 3 prized England wickets for 7 balls, Alex Hale, Joe Root and Eoin Morgan.

England one-day captain Eoin Morgan says the players have been trying to play like they did against New Zealand for “years”.
