Brut Reynolds dies aged 82
Burt Reynolds, one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the 1970s dies aged 82, in the Jupiter Medical Centre, Florida from a heart attack with his family by his side and is survived by his son Quinton.
The mega moustachioed star had undergone heart bypass surgery in 2010.
Reynolds shot into fame in 1972’s Deliverance which netted three Oscar nominations, and became a Hollywood legend with his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, The Cannonball Run and Boogie Nights.
His career peaked in 1977 when he played roguish trucker Bo Darville in Smokey and the Bandit. Reynolds made a comeback in 1997 playing a porn film director in Boogie nights which won him an Oscar nomination.
He married twice, first to actress Loni Anderson in 1988 and Sally field .
He turned down roles of Edward Lewis, James Bond, Richard Gere’s character Pretty Woman.
