Burkini wearers face issues on French beaches

Burkini is banned in fifteen cities in France.

Four armed police approached a Muslim woman on the beach in France who was apparently wearing the burkini – an outfit designed to go into water and cover the body. It is now banned in fifteen French cities. The woman the Police approached was told to undress and follow local customs.  Muslim women who are less extreme about dress codes – based in the UK say their feelings on these issues of dress are complex and divided.
