Celesial singer honours at Houses of Parliament
On 14th October 2019, Indian singer Dr K J Yesudas was honoured at Houses of Parliament attended by Justice minister Philip MP and Martyn Day MP, Councillor Manu Shahul-Hameed organised by The UK Event Life.

Kattrassery Joseph Yesudas ( born 10th January 1938), called as Gaanagandharvan (celestial singer) Indian musician and playback singer exponent in Indian classical, devotional and cinematic songs who has recorded over 80, 000 songs in several Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada,Hindi Bengali, Odia, Arabic, English, Latin and Russian during a career spanning more than five decades. He is considered as The most versatile and one of the all time greatest Indian singers.Winner of the National Award for the Best Male Playback singer record eight time , the Filmfare Awards, south five times and the State award for the Best Playback Singer forty –three times including awards given by state governments of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and West Bengal. He was awarded the Padmashri in 1975 the Padma Bhushan in 2002 and the Padma Vibhushan ( second-highest civilian award in 2017 by the Government of India for his contributions towards the arts. In 2011, Yesudas was honoured with the CNN_IBN outstanding achievement award having recorded more than 80, 000 songs. In 2006, he sang 16 film songs in four South Indian languages on the same day at AVM studio, Chennai.
