Creamic brush washer to fetch £10m
A 1000-year-old brush washer ceramic dish from Ru Guanyao, the most revered of the five great Kilns used from the Imperial China commissioned during the Song dynasty, is expected to sell for more than £10 million at Sotheby’s sale in Hong Kong, on October 3rd, 2017.

The last brush washer to be sold publicly fetched £16 million in 2012 following a tense battle.
Nicholas Chow, Sotheby;s Asia deputy chairman, said “ It was a unique opportunity to acquire a near perfect and ravishing brush washer form the Northern Song dynasty Ru Kilns.
The house is holding six Hong Kong Sales this season, the 230-plus lots on offer are expected to bring more than HK$ 600 $77 million.
