Croatia stuns and eliminates Argentina

Keeper Caballero passes straight to Rebic who scores, Modric and Rakitic goals stuns Argentina and eliminate them. Croatia through to last 16.

Croatia looked sharp by moving the ball well and kept Argentina at bay.

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic said: “Every coach has their own style of work. Over the last few days we haven’t looked at tactics because I wanted to relieve my players of the stress and inspired our players to play with fluidity and confidence with the entire Croatia enjoying it. In the first half we were compact and created three sitters but we failed to convert., in the second half I told my players to create more chances and press higher. We had good scouts and we analysed the opposition well. We adapted our style to them and let’s enjoy this moment.”
