Cruise liner crashes into riverboat in Venice
An out of control towering cruise ship MSC Opera with its horns blaring rammed into a river boat moored at a wharf in San Basilio-Zattere on the Giudecca Canal, a major route leading to Venice’s St Mark’s square, injuring 5 people at 8:30am.
Vigili del DFucco, Italy’s rescue service, said the situation was under control. People fleed in panic as the ship also barrelled into a tourist.
