EBay increase revenue by 5.6 per cent but shares fall by 8.9 per cent
Although the e-commerce giant EBay’s revenue rose 5.6 per cent to $2.22bn in the third quarter, their shares fell by 8.9 per cent in extended trading. EBay’s projected revenue of £1.93bn ($2.36bn) to $2.41bn may miss analysts estimates. EBay is rejiggign itself into an online marketplace to compete with the like of Jeff Bezeo’s Amazon. Their online ticketing marektplace StubHub is ringing increased revenues to $263m a 32 per cent increase.
However, EBay added over one million new buyer in the third quarter, bringing the total to 165m global active buyers.
