Elephant attack
Kerala Heritage Animal Task Force said: a total of 14 people including 9 mahouts, died in Kerala, India, in 2015 due to elephant attacks. Historically most of the mishaps occurs when elephants who were on “masth” became violent when they were brought to festivals or for doing heavy work. There are statutory laws which exists that a medical examination should be carried out on elephants before using them on festivals and other pre programmed works.
