England beat Mexico in Women’s World Cup Football in Canada!
England women upset Mexico in Moncton with a crucial 2-1 victory, to keep their hopes alive of reaching the last 16 at the 2015 Women’s World Cup.
Despite exasperating first half, 21 year old Fran Kirby ( second youngest player in England squad) gave England the lead before Karen Carney doubled it with a header, and despite Fabiola Ibarra’s late goal Mark Sampson’s side held on for the three points.
England face Colombia in their final Group F match in Montreal on Wednesday.
