South Africa won the toss and decided to field

England win by 118 runs and leveled the series 1-1.

Rain affected game at Emirates Old Trafford was helped by a brilliant bowling performance that helped England to level the one-day international series against South Africa.

Defending 201 in 29 overs, South Africa was reduced to 6-4 inside four overs before they were eventually bowled out for 83.

Rashid took 3-29, and Topley and M Ali took 2 wickets each to bowl out South Africa in just 20.4 overs.

The match was delayed for four hours, England made 201, before being bowled out with five balls to go after being put in to bat by the tourists.

Liam Livingston top-scored with 38, hitting three successive sixes off Anrich Nortje while Curran made an 18-ball 35.

The final cliff-hanger of the series decider will be at Headingly on Sunday at 11:00 BST.

Four South African wickets fell in a 10-ball spell with no runs added, to effectively win the game for England. Topley who had taken 12 wickets in his previous three games, had Janneman Malan caught at mid-on before Rassie van der Dussen strangled down the leg-side, De Kock’s wicket was a big one before Buttler swooped in and gather an underhand flicked towards the stumps with Markram a yard short of his ground. Moeen then deceived Heinrich Klaasen to have him stumped before Rashid claimed South African captain Keshav Maharaj, Dwaine Pretorius, and Lungi Ngidi as England raced through their 20 overs required to constitute a game.
