A huge fire has broken in a garage near Elephant & Castle station at around 1:45pm.

 

One hundred fire fighters rushed to the scene in 10 fire engines to tackle the blaze.

Huge plumes of smoke could seen on the skyline.

One person was rushed to hospital and five were treated by London Ambulance Service crew at the scene.

According to London Fire Brigade underneath railway arches three commercial units, four cars and a telephone booth caught fire.

A burned out white Mini was on fire. According to an emergency worker the fire could have caused by a generator in the garage.
