Dame Sarah Storey, Hannah Cockroft Hannah Russell, Alex Zanardi all win gold

GB won nine golds on Wednesday to take their medals tally to 43 at the Rio Paralympics 2016.

Hannah Cockroft won the T34 400m in a world-record time   of 58.78secs, her 15-year-old team-mate Kare Adenegan finished thied for her second medal of Paralympics and Dame Sarah Storey won in the C5 cycling time trial. Karen Darke and Steve bate also won gold in time-trial.

Kadeena Cox set a world record of 1:71seconds to win the T38 400m in the athletics and Sophie Wells was victorious in the Grade IV dressage individual championship.

Aaron Moores pipped team-mate Scott Quinn to gold for a one-two in the men;s SB14 100m breaststroke and Michael Jone and Jonathan Fox taking first and second respectively in the Men’s S7 400m freestyle final.

 

Hannah Russell knocked nine tenths off her own record in the women’s S12 100m backstroke.
