The UK records a 53-day lowest deaths figure since 24th March taking the total death toll to 34, 636.  At the peak on 2 April, there were 961 deaths in a 24-hour period. Across the UK more than 243, 300 people have tested positive for the virus.

Hottest day of the year is expected this week with a mini heatwave and temperatures forecast to hit 27ᵒC (80.6ᵒF), as people in the UK are urged to avoid crowded spaces because of social distancing. Large parts of England it is going to be very hot on Wednesday. However, by Thursday there is a possibility of thunder and bands of rain across the south and east of England and Wales while Friday could be windy mainly for western areas, with heavy downpours.

After Boris  Johnson announced the loosening of some of the lockdown restrictions last week, sunbathing and picnics are now allowed in parks as long as the two-meter social distancing rule is observed.

People can travel to an outdoor space irrespective of the distance, but not with someone outside your household unless you can observe the two-meter social distancing rules by cycling. You are also allowed to take day trips to an outdoor open space in a private vehicle.

Meet one other person from a different household outdoors, while following social distancing guidelines.

Exercise outdoors as often as you like again keeping at least two meters apart.

Use Tennis or basketball court, or a golf course with members of your household or one other person.

Go to a garden center.
