India won the toss electyed to field first. Bangladesh slipped from 142 for 2 in 25 overs to only 264 on fresh pitch at Edgbaston, and were undone by slow offspin of Kedar Jadhav.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan showed delectable stroke-play. For India this was their sixth semi-final in ICC events in the past seven years.
